Sports Centre

Sports play an important role in shaping up the personality and fitness of a person and to give a truly global experience to all the students, it is important for an institution to provide a reasonable array of outdoor sports facilities to keep students engaged and physically fit.

CRICKET

Cricket has become a cult sport in India and NGI campus is no different. The infrastructure related to the game includes a well crafted cricket ground adhering to BCCI standards with natural turf pitches and synthetic cricket practice pitches.

BASKET BALL

Being one of the most popular sports on campus, basket-ball is played by a large numbers of students in the evening. A full – fledged basket – ball court has been constructed near the Cricket ground.

BADMINTON

Badminton is a popular sport among students. The badminton court is located in the student housing and being supported with floodlights, it is always full of players in the evening and on holidays. Currently, the institution is in process of providing two wooden indoor courts.

VOLLEY BALL

Volley Ball is a popular sport among students. To promote Volleyball, a volleyball court confirming to a national standards has been constructed. Regular practice sessions have been started by the dedicated coach and the sport has invoked good response among girls and boys.



In addition to this, NGI campus houses a superb modern multipurpose facilitiesincludes: Yoga, Meditation, Table Tennis, Badminton, Dancing, Music, Snooker Pool etc. This is conveniently located near student residences, just a short walk from the main block.

A newly refurbished fitness centre is there with a wide range of cardio and resistance equipments. The Centre offers a friendly and personal training, individual programme design, fitness training and nutrition advice under the supervision of an expert fitness trainer.

A full time sports Officer and his subordinates manage the sporting activities and organizes sporting events for the students on a regular basis.

OPEN SPACES

Nearly 2/3rd of the Campus land consists of well laid and immaculately maintained Open Spaces such as Parks, Garden and Playgrounds. They provide the calm and serenity which enables relaxation of mind and invoke positive thoughts in people.

The Gardens and Parks have been adorned with beautiful flower plants, environmentally friendly tree with manicured grass all around. Seating benches along with impressive garden lighting add to the charm of these open spaces
